I am a professor at the University of Utah and the chief operating officer of the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health. I specialize in occupational injury prevention, training new generations of occupational and environmental health and safety professionals and conducting research that aims to improve the lives of workers in Utah and across the U.S. My work integrates science, policy, and practical application in areas including transportation health and safety, occupational exposures, musculoskeletal disorders, COVID-19, and evidence-based occupational medicine practice guidelines.
